Greensboro Housing Coalition is proud and humbled to announce that an endowment has been started for our agency; the endowment is housed at the Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro.

The Lane Endowment for Greensboro Housing Coalition

One of the powerful aspects of the endowment is that the gift will continue to support GHC for years, decades, and longer. Every gift to this fund will help assure that GHC will be helping our community for years to come. A common misconception is that an endowment gift should be a certain amount – not true–any amount of donation can be made. If you would like to donate to the Lane Endowment for GHC please indicate on your check or donation form. Please email info@gsohc.org if you have any questions.

Especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, accessibility and safety are at the top of our minds. Housing counselors are providing virtual support to clients whenever possible and, when it is not,  in-person appointments are staggered to reduce exposure, masks are offered to all clients, intake areas are disinfected throughout the day, and social distancing is diligently practiced. GHC welcomes in-kind donations to help us keep our staff and our clients safe, such as: face masks, other PPE, and hand sanitizer.

Thank you so much for looking to support our clients. GHC welcomes in-kind gifts such as:

• Gift Cards to distribute to our clients in need. We will gladly accept any relevant gift card. Those to Goodwill or grocery stores are particularly helpful.
• Basic needs & household items. Many of our clients experience barriers to getting basic needs – especially when homeless or at risk of homelessness. The items below are of great help.
  • Toiletries/Personal Care Items (body soap, shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste & toothbrush,etc.)
  • Towels / Dishtowels
  • Toilet Paper
  • Dish Soap
• Move-in baskets (often packed in a laundry basket or similar) containing the items above are truly a wonderful gift to pass on to our clients!

*When donating, please be mindful of our storage capacity, which is minimal, so please do not donate large items or clothing. Any items that our agency cannot use will be appropriately passed on to our partner agencies.
